Holistic Progress

At Kingfisher Academy, we believe that collecting holistic data is a key part of how we support our students. This approach helps us see the connection between a student’s mental health and well-being and their academic performance. By looking at the broader picture for each student, we can better understand their needs.

Upon a student’s arrival at Kingfisher Academy, a baseline assessment is conducted to establish a reference point for monitoring progress and identifying potential gaps in learning. We then collect holistic progress data on a termly basis, facilitating the tracking of individual development over time. This systematic approach allows us to analyse trends and patterns, thereby measuring progress and success or identifying areas requiring intervention.

The data collected is instrumental in informing decisions regarding appropriate interventions tailored to each student’s unique circumstances. By gathering, tracking, and analysing this data, we can ensure that our educational strategies are responsive and effective, ultimately fostering an environment conducive to both academic achievement and personal growth.

The grid that we use to measure the different areas can be viewed below.
