The Curriculum at Sheffield Children's Hospital

On the fourth day following admission (or straight after readmission), all children from Y1 to Y11 are offered a minimum of one, up-to 1-hour lesson per day which is guided by the child’s home-school curriculum and underpinned by the Kingfisher Academy curriculum. Although a focus is placed more heavily on core subjects, a variety of subjects are offered to ensure children receive breadth and balance across the duration of their stay, along with other enrichment opportunities such as cooking, music and PE.
